The current data reports, as well as any changes in the COVID-19 Indicators, are updated Wednesdays at 2 p.m. Last update: July 28, 2021.
Active cases are individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are in isolation. Starting May 19, 2021, active student cases include only those who are on campus in Decorah.
Isolation refers to the separation of an individual tested positive with COVID-19 from others who are not sick. Quarantine refers to the separation of an individual from others after a close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19.
*Some students complete their isolation and quarantine at their homes. Totals include only those students who are currently in residence at the Luther campus in Decorah. On-campus isolation and quarantine may include Decorah hotels.
The cumulative case reports are updated on Wednesdays at 2 p.m., starting on May 19. Last update: July 28, 2021. The asymptomatic testing programs are on pause since the end of the 2021 spring semester.
Cumulative cases include COVID-19 positive diagnoses: 1. reported to the college by students and employees from symptomatic testing, and 2. discovered through the college’s asymptomatic testing program. The student number includes cases contracted on campus and at the students’ homes from August 23, 2020 until May 14, 2021, as well as cases contracted on campus since May 15, 2021. The employee number includes all cases since May 17, 2020.
