Daniel Baldwin

"One of great things about my job as director of orchestras is the opportunity to work together with other artists—fellow teachers and music students. Indeed, as I reflect on my work at the college, some of my fondest memories (and most powerful musical experiences) have been shared, collaborative projects."

Since 1997, I have served as Director of Orchestral Activities at Luther College.  In addition to my work as conductor of the Luther College Symphony and Chamber Orchestras and the Opera Workshop, I teach conducting.

I hold a Bachelor of Music (cello) from Furman University and Master of Music (cello) and Doctor of Musical Arts (instrumental conducting) from the University of Texas at Austin.
