Luther College's art program teaches students to develop, shape, and apply creative skills. Our students engage and transform their beliefs within local and global communities. The liberal arts environment allows our students to bring a variety of conversations to the program.
Our courses guide students through many ideas and mediums. We encourage and expect our students to attend and take part in art and cultural experiences. This includes Luther College exhibitions, productions, lectures, workshops, internships and study abroad experiences.
The art program fosters curiosity through discussing historical perspectives and contemporary issues. Our students learn their place in art and society. They speak and write through a critical lens to raise and challenge issues. They see beyond an art context to prepare for academic and professional careers.
