Parking - Nearby ramp parking is available for a fee, to park in between the Embassy Club and the Civic Center, please use the 4th and Grand Parking Ramp.

The Des Moines Symphony is celebrating the 30th anniversary under the leadership of Conductor Joseph Giunta. They are excited to have Iowa native and internationally-renowned singer Simon Estes perform selections from Gershwin’s beloved Porgy & Bess with the Des Moines Symphony. This special concert also features our own Nordic Choir singing Bernstein’s choral masterpiece Chichester Psalms, but first, the breathtaking joy of Shostakovich’s brilliant, colorful Festive Overture.

Tickets: Single tickets are $15-$68 and are available through Des Moines Performing Arts. Please note single ticket prices are subject to a $5 increase on the day of the concert, excluding student rush tickets.

Student tickets are $7.50-$33 and are available through the Civic Center Ticket Office. Student rush tickets, subject to availability, are $5 for junior high and high school students and $10 for all other students the day of the concert through the Civic Center Ticket Office. One ticket sold per valid Student ID.
