Speaker: Emily Holm '16; Luther College Communications and Marketing Fellow
Emily Holm is a recent graduate from the Class of 2016 and is originally from Delano, MN. During her time at Luther, she studied in Norway with the Peace Scholars program and later found herself working at an interfaith summer camp in Seattle, WA called Kids4Peace. This unique and inspiring camp brings together children from the Middle East and the US for two weeks of leadership and conflict resolution training. Most recently, Emily developed a children's curriculum for peace building with Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota. She currently works at Luther in the communication and marketing department.
"Turning Education into Action"
Emily's presentation will reveal the many valuable lessons we can learn from the world's youngest peacemakers and how a Luther education can be used to truly "serve with distinction for the common good".
