"The Hefto Era"- A Luther College Norse Football Reunion '03 - '11
Time is getting close and we need to get a good count of who is coming! RSVP Today!
Norse Football Team members from the Paul Hefty era of LCFB are headed to Decorah for a reunion. It's going to be a great weekend for us to catch up, laugh, and reminisce about our time together and remember the best of our "... great days in the valley!"
There will be plenty of opportunities to hang out with teammates, or explore Decorah on your own. We invite all of our former coaches, trainers and staff to join us!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Check-In at Baker Village or your local hotel.
Luther Book Shop open until 4:30 p.m.
6:00 p.m. - Meet at T-Bocks Sports Bar & Grill Basement Party Room--Mabe's Pizza and Ronnie’s Rolls for dessert. ($15/person for pizza; Cash Bar).
Breakfast on-your-own. Try "The Caf…" Open from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. Cost: $6.35 for all-you-can-eat. Other downtown options include grabbing a Ronnie's Roll at Ruby’s Café, going to T-Bocks for an omelet, or to the Family Table for bacon and eggs.
9:00 a.m. Meet Head Football Coach Caleb Padilla, his staff and current Luther players at Room 223 in the Regents Center. (Room 223 is the old weight room area outside the former racquetball court!)
10:00 a.m. Tour of the athletic facilities with Coach Padilla and his staff.
Luther Book Shop open for our reunion group from 11:00 a.m. to noon.
11:30 a.m. Lunch on-your-own. Caf is open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cost: $8.60 for all-you-can-eat.
Saturday Afternoon Activities:
Golf at Oneota Country Club led by Jim Haemker '72 (You will need to hustle! First Tee-Time is at 12:15!) Transportation is on-your-own. Oneota has sandwiches, brats, and hot dogs for around $4.00 if you want a quick lunch!
Canoeing, Tubing, Biking, and Hiking - Meet at Baker Village Bergan parking lot at 1:00 p.m.
Bike the Trout Run Trail - An 11-mile loop around Decorah - group ride led by Dan Marlow ‘88 from Baker Village and back; must arrange for your own bike. Call Kirk Johnson if you need to borrow or rent: 563-419-3626.
Canoeing and Tubing – Kirk Johnson ‘82 will take the groups to 'Off The Driftless' where we will rent canoes ($40 each) or kayaks ($25 each) for a 2-hour float from the Bluffton Road Bridge back to Decorah. (Transportation, coolers, and beverages provided).
Hiking – Local runner and hiker Paul Mullen ’79, will lead the group to a route of their choosing… probably above Dunning’s Spring and Ice Cave.
Mountain Biking - Hemie Collier '07 will lead a group of riders on the Decorah Human Powered Trails above Ice Cave and Van Peenen Parks.
Swim at Decorah's Municipal Pool. $4.50 for adults.
6:00 p.m. Barbecue Picnic at the Home of Bob '65 and Ann (Aaker) Naslund '66 following afternoon activities. Rack of Pork Catered by U-2 BBQ ($15/person) Transportation is on-your-own. After a great meal and plenty of Nas's stories, feel free to make your way to any of your favorite haunts and continue the revelry.
Come alone or bring the whole family to enjoy a weekend in Decorah! (Even your parents!)
