What activities are you involved in outside of academics?
Besides playing percussion with the Wind and Percussion Ensemble, I enjoy attending Philosophy Society meetings and tutoring Latin, Greek, and Logic.
What do you and your friends do in your free time?
In the little free time we have senior year, my friends and I try to get dinners together and plan time to meet for chats downtown. Walks by the river or up in the prairie and woodlands are always good use for an extra hour.
If someone was interested in your major, what course(s) or professor(s) would you recommend?
Dan Davis must be some sort of magician, because he makes learning Ancient Greek fun! And even if you don't plan to major in Philosophy when you arrive, taking Philosophy 101 with one of our phenomenal professors may just change your mind.
Where’s the best place to study on campus?
I've always loved Preus Library, and now that I have my very own assigned study nook, you'll rarely find me elsewhere.
What’s your go-to line in the caf when you don’t like what’s in the main line?
Oftentimes I will go over to the vegetarian line (the Caf's best-kept secret!). The pasta line never fails, though.
What’s your favorite Luther tradition?
I think it's nifty how we keep summoning lightening to burn down Main Building in the middle of the night. RIP Main I and II. Fingers still crossed about Main III, though.
What do you miss about Luther when you go home?
I miss my classes. There's so little to do without jam-packed days.
What’s your favorite part about going to college at Luther?
I love the approachability and candor of the professors, as well as the closeness of the community.
What's your wackiest Luther memory?
Finding out that one of my friends has a phobia of scones. I'm not joking!
What do you want to do after you graduate from Luther?
I'm thinking that I want to go to Latvia, either for further studies or to find a career.
