Falling in Love With Ireland

Why so much love so soon? Many reasons I'm sure but most importantly because I want to be out and in the world here so much I will sacrifice my beautiful hair and come back looking like a wet dog. And that my dear, is true love.

Come wind come rain, nothing will stop me from exploring as much of Ireland as I can before I head back to Nottingham and inevitably the United States. Cork, Galway and Dublin have all been absolutely amazing and each step I take makes me want to take ten more steps.

Two of the biggest things I've seen in the last few days are the Cliffs of Moher and the Giants Causeway. On both of these days it was wet and rainy and kind of dreary, but my love and excitement for it all saw right through it and an image of mystical serenity shown through the rain.

I mean look at these photos (see right), you can't even tell I've lost feeling in my face due to the wind and rain!

After the Cliffs of Moher it took two conditioner applications to be able to comb through my hair that night. Also, in that peaceful picture of me at the Giant's Causeway I am literally sitting in a puddle.

Did these little details bother me? Not in the slightest! Could I spend the rest of my life here?  Quite possibly...

The people I have met on my travels have also made a huge impact on my impression of Ireland. From my host and her family the first ten days I was here, to other travelers taking the same (ish) life journey as myself, to the locals who are never afraid to give me directions when I get a little misplaced or tell me a silly joke in a pub.

All of these little beautiful moments that have happened in the last month have made this amazement and infatuation with Ireland turn into a blossoming love. What will happen in my future? I have no idea but am I open to some Irish possibilities? Absolutely!

Just check out these pictures and you tell me if you're not falling at least a little bit in love too!

All I can wish for is to get to a place in my life that I love. That can mean with the people I love, the land that I love or maybe a career that I love. Actually, let's just have all three!

I don't know where things might end up, but I know that right here right now I am falling in love with Ireland and that is a great feeling!

Cliffs of Moher and the Giant's Causeway are beautiful meditation places... Wind and all.
Took a trip outside of Cork to visit Garnish Island and it was well worth it!
Photos from the Connemara outside of Galway.
A penny for a wish at the Giant's Causeway. See that gross looking stuff next to it? Those are old wishes reshaped by nature. Beautiful!
