SAC, also know as the Student Activities Counsil, is a group of people who help put on some of the really awesome things that happen here on campus. There are many different committees and I happen to be a co-chair for SAC Cinema. This means that my job, along with the help of my other co-chair, Katie, is to show movies here on campus once a month for the students. It is free of charge to those who have CAF, and of course there is lots of popcorn involved! This is a really great organization and an awesome thing to be a part of. I mean: study break, awesome move, AND snacks?! What more can you ask for?
The picture to the right shows our committee members with Katie and I in the front! They are such a fun and hardworking group of people! They help us bag popcorn, take tickets, and clean up; and in return they have a vote in deciding what movies we bring to campus. These are some really great people and it is so fun to get to laugh and joke around with them before and after the movie. Katie and I don't know what we would do without them.
The movie that we showed just a couple of days ago was Guardians of the Galaxy, and if you haven't seen it yet, you should! It is probably one of my new favorites (thanks SAC Cinema). There were so many people there that we even ran out of popcorn!! Again, I don't know where we would be without our committee and all their help.
If you were wondering... our next movie will be Thursday November 20th at 8:00pm in Valders 206!! You "butter" be there!
