The time has come—this is my last blog post of the year! :( I know... I'm sad, too! It's been an absolute privilege to share my sophomore year at Luther with y'all! ;) I hope that I have provided some insight about Luther and given you a good glimpse into my day-to-day life here.
I was "lucky" to have all my finals scheduled for today! At least I can get them all done, right off the bat! ;) Math, Family Communication, and Norwegian... And then our final paper for Research Methods is due online tomorrow morning.
It's crazy that my stuff is just about all packed up, and I'm wrapping up another exciting, fun, adventure-filled year at Luther. I feel like I learned a lot more academically, and also personally, this year. Part of that probably came from some awesome conversations that I had this year with professors... That's one of my biggest pieces of advice for the end of the year! Regardless of if you're an incoming student or halfway through your college career—get to know your professors. Most of the time, they want to learn about you as a person, in addition to your academic pursuits. They're a great resource to have some good, insightful (and sometimes even funny) conversations with. I'll definitely miss that next year!
It's so weird that I won't be coming back to Luther in the fall, but instead preparing to leave for Nottingham, England! I am SO excited. :) Plus, I will be continuing this blog next year! I'm thrilled to be able to continue to share my adventures with you, as I experience life in England.
This summer, I'll be working at a summer camp in southwestern Minnesota as a kitchen assistant! I’m looking forward to learning and experiencing many new things—and hopefully making some great memories, too. I have about a week after I leave Luther at home before I head up to camp to begin staff training. After camp finishes in August, I'll have a little less than a month to finish preparing for my year abroad!
Happy Summer! See you next year, from across the pond! :)
