The End of the Semester Already?!

It's already finals week! That's crazy. I only have one more final tomorrow, for Concepts of Media Production I. I had my finals for Religion and Culture and Norwegian, today. We also turned in our take home finals for Cultural Anthropology today, too. I feel pretty good about most of my finals...hopefully my final grades will reflect that!

While I've learned a ton of new things this semester, I'm glad that it's about over! It's definitely been my most hectic and busy semester so far, especially with the workload for my anthropology classes. However, I will miss my friends, Emily and Sam—as they’re both abroad next semester! I'm still excited for next semester, though! I get to focus a lot more on my communications classes again! :) I'll be taking Family Communication, Research Methods, Math in Our World, and Norwegian 102.

There's about two months or so before spring semester gets here, though! What will I be doing during all that time, you ask? ;) I'll give you a little preview! :)

First, we'll have Christmas break for a few weeks. I'm leaving campus tomorrow after my last final. Then, I'll have a few days back in Newton to prepare and pack for...FLORIDA! :) Yup, I'm heading to Florida to visit my Grandma Jan, with my boyfriend, Dillon! I'm super excited to see her again and have some time to relax in the sunshine state. :)

Besides Florida, I'll be seeing my friends and lots of family for normal Christmas-y festivities throughout break. Also, I'll be preparing and packing for my J-Term trip to...EUROPE! :)

I'm taking a class called "How Soccer Explains Europe: Coaching Methods and Critical Approaches." I'm looking forward to learning more about the game of soccer as a whole, and also how important it is in European society! Plus, spending time abroad again and “seeing the sights” will be awesome, too. :)

For the class, we'll be spending January traveling through the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. We’ll visit many soccer stadiums, learning more about the sport and different coaching methods. There will also be some instances when we go through the training exercises with the different teams, and actually play soccer! Hopefully, I don’t make that much of a fool of myself. ;) I most likely won't be making new posts during that time, but never fear! If you're interested in seeing what we're up to, somebody will be updating our class blog. You can check that out here!

Thanks to everyone that has followed my adventures this fall! I hope you all have a lovely holiday season, and I'll be back with new posts in the spring! :)

Last time I went to Florida was the spring of my senior year for our band trip! I got to hang out with many of my good friends, like Lexie! :) This was when we visited the beach during our trip.
I also got to see my Uncle Burt and Aunt Marcia on that trip to Florida, along with some of my cousins!
I'm so excited to see Grandma Jan again, when Dillon and I go to Florida over break! :)
Last time I went to Europe, I saw so many things! From Big Ben, to the Eiffel Tower, to the gorgeous mountains of Switzerland, and more! My friend, Evelyn, and I stopped to take this photo by Lake Geneva during that trip. I can't wait to study in Europe, and see more sights in January!
