My experience with Luther can effectively be summed up by community.”

My experience with Luther can effectively be summed up by community. I was originally drawn to Luther by alumni I knew, whose relational ability and talents I wanted to emulate. In visiting the band, I was so impressed by the community, as the constant theme for music at Luther is that of a family. As a student at Luther I always come back excited to be around my roommates, classmates, and friends. At the heart of community is diversity, in the fullest sense of the word. Without difference of opinion and experience, life and conversation wouldn’t be engaging. Being around and invested in people of different race, gender, sexual orientation, class, religion, and able-bodiedness makes the culture of my community here so much more rich and valuable. That is why I love Luther.
