The 2007 Event

The 2007 Festival:  On November 2-4, 2007, 250 people gathered at Luther College for a celebration of the literary work of many in the wider Lutheran world. As far as we know, this was a first-ever gathering of writers who have been shaped by the Lutheran tradition.

Over twenty award-winning writers from all over the US, Canada, and Europe gave readings of their poetry, fiction, and memoir, and these writers, along with editors and publishers, participated in panels discussing the writer’s life, the challenges of shaping language to illuminate ethical issues, the rigors of literary form, and the climate for writing about religious topics.
