What have you learned most about yourself in this role?

I’ve learned that I’m capable of doing so much more than I thought I could. I didn't have extensive computer or web knowledge before coming to this job and was intimidated at first. I quickly learned what I was capable of and I’ve become confident in my work.

What has the job taught you?

My job has taught me to accept help when I need it. There have been multiple times when I needed reminders on how to do certain tasks, and I’ve learned that it’s nothing to be ashamed of. I know my colleagues and supervisors appreciate it when I ask for help when I need it so I can do my best work.

How do you see your work-study experience affecting your future?

I know it will help me to be a better worker and colleague in the future. I’ve learned how to work in a formal setting and collaborate with colleagues to do the best job that I possibly can.

What type of person is best suited for your position?

Someone who is always ready to learn would do well in this position. I learn new things every day that help me become a better student worker, and I know there is so much more that I have yet to learn.

What do you like best about your job?

I get to work with amazing people. In this position, I’ve met faculty, alumni, and students who I would otherwise never have had the chance to meet. Plus, it’s really fun!
