An elegant folksinger with a country/bluegrass edge, Ms. Newcomer is known for honest, authentic songwriting that illuminates life with startling depth, humor and clarity. An Indiana native, Ms. Newcomer sings of the small joys and pains in life, emphasizing the little moments that are often taken for granted. Overall, she is not afraid to take on serious subjects, and does so with a healthy measure of good humor and self-awareness. She has recently collaborated with leading authors and theologians including Parker J. Palmer, Phillip Gulley, Scott Russell Sanders, Jim Wallis, Brian McLaren, Jill Bolte Taylor and Barbara Kingsolver.
