SPIN Theatre Company

SPIN Theatre Company is an official student organization of Luther College advised by faculty member Lisa Lantz. Run by a board of upperclass students, it offers opportunities for students of all years, majors, and experience levels to explore their interests in areas of theatre including acting, set design, directing, stage management, and lighting/sound.

The organization was founded in 2004 and premiered with a production of Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. It ran successfully for 7 years and after a 2 year haitus SPIN became newly recognized by Luther College in the fall of 2013. It opened with "A Night of Scenes" featuring four scenes from various plays and musicals 100% directed and produced by students. In the spring 2014, SPIN took on Lysistrata by Aristophanes which was a huge success, filling Storre Theatre well beyond capacity. SPIN continues to make theatre available for everyone onstage, backstage, and in the audience.
