The theatre program educates actors, directors, designers, and technicians, developing capacities for creative invention and communication.

Theatre students:

  • Engage in speaking and performance as kinesthetic skills, exploring what it means to be fully human.
  • Illuminate historical and contemporary events and issues through collaboration and performance.
  • Refine imagination through the intentional study and practice of text, movement, and designs in costume, set, and lighting.

Theatre majors become scholars, artists, activists, and teachers. Through their various career paths, they play, support, create, and contribute toward a vibrant and compassionate world.
