Luther Recycling Summer Crew Member

Pay Rate: $7.25 per hour
Luther College Sustainability Office is looking for two students to do jobs related to campus recycling, composting, document destruction and redeemable items as needed in order to help reduce waste and pursue sustainability.
Responsibilities Include:
- Working 15 hours/week
- Picking up recycling from the Residence Halls, Academic Buildings, and other campus offices and loading into truck
- Unloading recyclables at the blue bins behind Facilities
- Picking up and delivering all redeemable items from various locations on and off campus to the Sustainability House garage.
- Delivering compost from the Union Dock (other locations as needed) to the compost pile on Pole Line Road
- Completing shift reports within one hour of finishing a shift
- General truck maintenance: keeping it clean and full of gas
- Willingness to get dirty
Qualifications
- Enrollment at Luther College
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a truck
- Must be able to obtain certification to drive Luther fleet vehicle
- Physically able to perform duties required
- Ability to carry up to 40 pounds
- Interest in sustainability
