Luther Land Stewardship Internship

Full time positions transition to part time (5 hrs/week) during the 2013/2014 school year
Are you looking spend time outdoors in the prairies and woods on the Luther campus and want to gain job skills in natural areas stewardship? Come be a part of Luther’s Land Stewardship Team. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on experience with restoration and management of natural areas, including management of invasive species, trail building and maintenance, prescribed burns, vegetation monitoring/research and more. Applicants will work 40 hours/week summer 2013 and approximately 5 hours/week during the school year (Fall 2013/Spring 2014).
Applicant requirements:
- must have completed Bio 151
- must be available to work through Spring 2014
- be willing and able to perform physical work, including brush cutting, clearing, lifting, etc.
- happily encounter working conditions with a positive attitude that sometimes includes mosquitoes and weather extremes (hot, cold, and sometimes rainy).
