Sustainable Foods Internship (Campus)

Work Expectations:  20 hrs/wk
Pay Rate:  $7.25 per hour

The Sustainability Office seeks two students to work on sustainable foods projects throughout the summer. 

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Monitoring Real Food Calculator information
  • Helping to tell the story of Luther’s local food purchasing via posters, web content, campus televisions and video
  • Coordinating food events on campus
  • Developing creative signage for the cafeteria and other dining locations
  • Assisting with community outreach projects
  • Creating edible landscape maps
  • Coordinating Luther Gardens record-keeping
  • Organizing community garden events at the college farm
  • Visiting local farms to gather information for website
  • Researching other camps initiatives

Qualifications

  • Enrollment at Luther College
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong interest in sustainable food systems
  • Team-minded orientation
  • Positive attitude
