The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce Green Business Council seeks a highly motivated student intern to assist in the research, education, development and coordination of green business initiatives.  Student will receive a stipend and will be expected to work between 5-10 hours a week on a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

Research

• Research models in other communities and make recommendations for best practices for the Decorah Area GBC
• Research current business usage to develop a bulk purchasing program through the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce
• Develop timeline to put methods found into practice

Coordination

•  Coordinate GBC meeting times
•  Attend meetings and take minutes
• Work with Executive Director to develop agendas

 Communication:

•  Write articles for business newsletter on business best practices
•  Write press releases on the work of the GBC
•  Identify best connection to the DACC business community
