Are you looking to spend time outdoors in the prairies and woods on the Luther campus and want to gain job skills in natural areas stewardship? Come be a part of Luther’s Land Stewardship Team. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on experience with restoration and management of natural areas, including management of invasive species, trail building and maintenance, prescribed burns, vegetation monitoring/research and more. Interns will work 40 hours/week summer 2015 and approximately 5 hours/week during the school year (Fall 2015/Spring 2016).
“What I like most about working this summer was seeing all of the Luther land off trail… I also really enjoyed being able to see the difference my work made. Transforming buckthorn thickets to open woodland, and garlic mustard "carpets" to woodland shrubbery was very rewarding work. ” – former land stewardship intern
