The Communications and Administrative Coordinator provides communications, administrative, fundraising and general support for FairShare’s overall organizational mission and goals. FairShare CSA Coalition supports and connects community supported agriculture (CSA) farmers and consumers. Through outreach and education we foster a cohesive network of committed farmers and community members who believe CSA is the backbone of a vibrant, just and healthy food system, where all families have access to locally produced, organic food and have strong connections to their farms, food and community.


  • Financial Management Support (20%) 
    • Enter bills, payments and invoices in Quickbooks
    • Prepare credit card reports
  • Fundraising Assistance (30%)
    • Enter donors in database
    • Print and mail thank you letters
    • Support annual appeal and other fundraising initiatives
  • Outreach and Communication (30%)
    • Manage outreach tabling and presentation requests; prep and wrap-up for tabling events
    • Implement social media plan and posting
    • Support monthly e-newsletter creation
    • Support merchandise ordering, sales, marketing, and inventory
    • Manage and update online store
  • General Organizational Support (20%)
    • Support annual and special events as needed o Assist with overall office support such as ordering supplies, working with vendors
    • Support annual meeting planning, budget process and annual report creation as needed/appropriate
    • Update and maintain website for appropriate programs and events
    • Provide input and support on appropriate grants and other fundraising activities 

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Nonprofit, administrative experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently, and as part of a small team
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs of a dynamic organization
  • A commitment to FairShare’s mission
  • Experience with Quickbooks and the Adobe suite is a plus

Supervisor: Executive Director
Classification: Part-time, salaried position (.5 FTE, 20 hours per week), 6-month term, possibility to extend Compensation: $12/hour plus $200 monthly health stipend, $200 annual CSA share reimbursement
