Seasonal Naturalist & Farmers Market Manager; Driftless Area Wetlands Centre

Job Description: Provide customer service for the Wetlands Centre, including interpretation and information to walk-in guests and over the phone. Present environmental educational programs for all age groups, including schools and the public. Assist with organizing and implementing special events. Serve as the Farmers Market Manager for the Friday Night Farmers Market. Assist with land management of prairie and wetland habitat surrounding the Wetlands Centre, including but not limited to invasive species control, seed collection, and prairie planting. Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of the facility and grounds. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements: ust be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license. Excellent communications skills with people of all ages. Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions. Background or interest in environmental education or related field preferred.

Work Schedule/Dates: 5-30 hours per week from mid-April through October (6 months). Weekend and evening hours are required. Start date negotiable.
