Education for Sustainable Development Conference in Japan

Recipient of a 2012 Second Nature Climate Leadership Award. One of eight colleges across the country to receive an "A" on the 2011 College Sustainability Report Card.

A youth delegation is being selected to go to a youth conference (ages 18-35) on education for sustainable development (ESD) in Japan in November 2014, with 50 attendees from all over the world, marking the last international conference on this topic for the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. The U.S. Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development  is very involved with ESD and would like to see a full contingent of youth attend.

If selected, airfare and accommodations are paid. The application can be found at http://www.unesco.org/new/en/youthconference  The application deadline is June 1st.

If you are accepted to attend the conference, please email Debra Rowe, President of the U.S. Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development at EducatingForASustainableFuture@gmail.com and we will provide you with information on what has been occurring in the US in response to the decade and possibilities to help increase national and international collaboration as a youth delegate.
