The summit provides a chance for students from around the country to get together and talk about local food in their areas. Foci of the summit include farm-to-institution basics, challenging corporate dominance in our food system, how dynamics of institutionalized racism and other forms of oppression impact our work and the nuts and bolts of building successful student groups and campaigns. Farmers, food chain workers and other food justice leaders from the upper Midwest will be present to talk to students as well.
