Winneshiek County Recycling Center Work Study Opportunity

Recipient of a 2012 Second Nature Climate Leadership Award. One of eight colleges across the country to receive an "A" on the 2011 College Sustainability Report Card.

The Winneshiek County Recycling Department has several work study positions available. Great organization and supervisor willing to incorporate your major/ passions into work.

Basic daily job tasks include material sorting, maintaining production area organization, and frequent interaction with the general public.

The facility is open from 6:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and we will consider running alternative hours to accommodate your class schedules. Several students carpooling together at one time outside of regular class time would work well.

Students with Facebook, Twitter, and other electronic and written communication skills are encouraged to apply, too, as we have some opportunities for some of you to participate in the waste reduction education part of the program.

This is ideal work experience for Environmental Science/Studies majors, but all majors are encouraged to apply.
