The “Film and Sustainability” screening-and-discussion series is being put together for the 2012-13 academic year. To kick off this new series, 4 films will be screened during Fall Semester—1 film on the 1st or 2nd Thursday of each month (Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec).
This film series aims to foster a diverse dialogue about sustainability rather than having one person or group put together the program. As such, any individual or organization is invited to propose a film you would like screened and for which you will help coordinate the discussion session to follow the film.
Series planning will take place over the summer, but we ask interested individuals or organizations to email us by May 19th to express prospective interest. As this deadline is near, you may simply express interest, but if you do have a film in mind, please let us know the title and, time permitting, a brief rationale for proposing it. We will be in touch over the summer as we put together the program.
Andy Hageman in the English department and Anita Carrasco in the Anthropology department are acting as coordinating contacts for the series, so please send proposal emails to both of them: firstname.lastname@example.org; email@example.com
