Community Market Walks

Farmers Market

Join the walk from campus to the market. Bring your friends and make some along the way!

The Winneshiek Farmers Market in Decorah is an outdoor market that operates Wednesdays 3-6pm and Saturdays 8-11am from May 1 through October 30. At the market you'll encounter up to 40 vendors, live music, and a colorful selection of produce, crafts, baked goods, meat and dairy products.

Luther students will lead walks to the market every Wednesday and Saturday during the weeks the market is open.  These walks provide a way to get off campus, explore the community and meet local producers.  You'll have an opportunity to buy fresh, local snacks as well as have a great time doing it!

Walks will begin at the Welcome Center and end up at the Winneshiek County Farmer's Market, which is located in the parking lot behind the Oneota Food Coop.  The walk is about 1 mile each way, so wear comfy shoes.

Wednesdays: 4:30pm departure from Welcome Center

Saturdays: 9:30am departure from Welcome Center
