Sustainable Energy Discussions

Please join Sustainable Decorah, Winneshiek Energy District, and Luther Environmental Studies students to explore proactive energy options right here in Decorah and Winneshiek County. Each of three energy evenings will begin with brief project presentations by students, followed by discussion among all present regarding the opportunities these and related solutions offer us, and their potential role in Decorah’s sustainability plan.

Tues. May 4: electricity monitoring; energy education; solar and wind
Thurs. May 6: green building codes; energy retrofit finance options;
alternative transportation
Tues. May 11: agricultural energy; district heat; methane recovery ;
local carbon markets

All events are in Valders 362 from 6:30 to 8:30pm.
