Diversity Garden

The goal of the Diversity Garden is to raise students' awareness of the source of their food, encourage sustainable and practical land use, and provide an aesthetic alternative to the traditional "American lawn." The purpose of this project is, first and foremost, educational, with the goal to teach students about growing food and eating locally. The garden is located just behind Ylvisaker Hall, a first-year residence hall. This helps to educate students new to Luther about the college's strong Sustainability program and local foods initiative.
