Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois seeks volunteers for a fun filled weekend to teach girls environmental education and leadership skills. Spend your weekend at camp Tahigwa!

Outdoor Corps Weekend is a weekend long event on April 19-21, 2013 at the Girl Scout facility Camp Tahigwa near Dorchester, IA (about 20 minutes away from Decorah). This event focuses on teaching girls about the environment and leadership through a series of fun activities on our property.

We are seeking volunteers to lead sessions in such areas as environmental education, recycling, animals, and leisure sports such as disc golf. We are also looking for students who would be interested in simply volunteering to help out during the weekend; those that would like to help for the entire weekend would assist with various activities such as archery or hiking, and will be housed and fed meals while at the event.

Volunteers may spend the entire weekend at camp or may choose one of the following times.
Friday, April 19, 2013 - 5:30pm - 10:00pm
Saturday, April 20, 2013- 8:30am - 7:00pm

All meals and housing are provided while volunteering.
