About Us

Sigma Chi Theta was founded in order to forge the bonds of brotherhood between members of the organization.  The purpose of this organization is threefold: to promote charitable and social activities of the college, to promote social activities for fraternity members, and to promote fellowship among brothers so friendships last longer than our time at Luther.

Mission Statement

During the academic school year, EXO would like to continue our great community tradition. Our overall goal is to better ourselves, school, and community through service projects, social events, and volunteer work. With our main saying as, “Service, Commitment, Brotherhood” we would like to hold that true and help our community in anyway we can.

Philanthropy and Service

Sigma Chi is active within the Decorah community as well as around the Luther college campus. During the year, Sigma Chi participates in a variety of service events that especially benefit Luther college Alumni Chris Norton's SCI CAN Foundation. During the fall we will continue our annual food drive to Decorah Lutheran Church and provide aid to a family in need during Christmas time. We also plan to continue reading books to Decorah’s Kindergarten classrooms, as well as providing aid to Decorah High School during sporting events.
