  • "Winning the Money Game" by Adam Carroll
    • Leadership speaker Adam Carroll has been a frequent guest lecturer in over 500 campuses and hundreds of college leadership and fraternity conferences. His keynotes put students on the edge of their seats and his breakout sessions are standing room only. When attendees are asked what they thought of Adam's presentations, they use words like, "inspirational, impactful, hilarious, and 100% relevant to our situation." There are very few speakers who can capture an audience from the first minute and keep them going the entire presentation. Adam is one of those speakers and delivers rock-solid content every single time he gets up on stage. For more information http://www.adamspeaks.com

  • SAC Leadership Presents: Miss Iowa!
    • On June 10, 2013, the Miss Iowa pageant crowned Nicole Kelly, 23 year old, a University of Nebraska graduate. A native of Keokuk, Iowa, was born without a left forearm. Ms. Kelly said that she has gotten used to the stares that often come with her disability. "As I grew older, I learned to offset the initial stares I received from people with an outgoing personality that would not give in to "No." This meant that I tried everything! From baseball, to dance to diving, there was nothing I would not try. I found my passion within a world where I was giving people permission to stare…the stage." Kelly has also said that competing in pageants allows her to be comfortable with herself. “I found I could tell people it was acceptable to stare. It was the place that was kind of an outlet for me, a place I could stand up and be myself, and say here I am, and I’m confident in myself," she said. Please join us for her inspiring presentation on "The Power of One". This event is sponsored by SAC Leadership and is free to everyone.

  • The Mowgli's
    • The Mowgli's are a quintessential California band ~ Four childhood friends from the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, augmented by three mid-western transplants. Inspired by the magnetism of San Francisco, the grind of Los Angeles and the serenity of the Big Sur Coast, their songs are a joyous revival of rock n' roll, a twisting indie-folk dance and a heartfelt protest ballad. Sliding from indie pop to country and a host of genres in between, the band evokes modern artists such as Fun., Grouplove and Edward Sharpe And the Magnetic Zeros, whilst having their roots in the music of Neil Young, The Byrds, The Beach Boys and Fleetwood Mac. Part 60's Laurel Canyon, part 70's Venice Beach and part 10's Silverlake, the band and the harmonies are held together by their message of universal love, peace and the belief that the highest form of consciousness is achieved by togetherness and unity. Uplifting, collaborative, joyous and communal, their songs are a walk through their life thus far: Meeting each other ("Hi Hey There Hello"), experiencing together ("San Francisco", "The Great Divide", "I've Been Around"), fighting and making up (“Colin's Song”), emerging stronger ("Carry Your Will", "We Are Free") - their message is finding a foothold with fans from every walk of life, bringing people together under one roof to celebrate each other. This performance is sponsored by SAC Spotlight and is FREE with CAF and $15.00 without. Tickets are free with CAF and $15.00 without, and on sale now. Doors open at 7:30 pm.
