Backyard Wilderness Pursuits (BWP) Events
May 3 - Canoe Trip on Upper Iowa River. Cost = $5 per person for the first 12 people to register and $13 the day of. More details to come.
April 20 - Hiking Trip to Effigy Mounds. Cost = $6/person for gas and fee to visitor's center.
April 5-6 - Yellow River Camping Trip. Cost = $10/person if need to rent a tent. ID's will be taken and used for food supplies from the caf.
March 27-31 - Aspen Ski trip to Colorado. Cost = $320/person for lift tickets, gas and lodging for 3 days and nights. Will ski at Aspen Mountain (including Snowmass and Aspen Highlands).
February 29 - Winter camping at Chattahoochie Park. $10/person if need to rent a tent and sleeping bag. ID numbers will be used for food from the caf.
October 27 - Trail building between Roslien Woodlands and Hoslett Field Study area. No cost. Volunteers will trim trees and rake the ground to form a trail. This trail was later used for the Backyard Adventure Race.
October 7 - Canoe trip on Upper Iowa River. Cost = $5/person for the first 12 people to register and $13/person for those following. (canoes will have to be rented locally). plus $4/cookout food. Time = 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm
September 16 - Bonfire at Will Baker Park. NO cost. 7:30 p.m.

The Luther College Recreational Sports program assumes responsibility for reasonable maintenance and working condition of the rental equipment.
It is the responsibility of the renter to return the equipment in its original rented condition and to assume liability for personal injury resulting from the use of the equipment, to pay for repairs of equipment which result from negligent use of the equipment, to pay for repairs of equipment which result from negligent use by the renter and to compensate the Recreational Sports program in case of loss/damage of the equipment.
All rented equipment must be returned in its original rented condition: dry, neatly packed, undamaged and complete.
Weekend rentals must be picked up by 4 p.m. on Friday and returned by 9:30 a.m. on Monday or renter will be assessed 1 1/2 times the daily rate.
Full payment of the rental fee is required at the time of pickup. Luther ID is required.
