Program Description
Overview
The Spiritual Formation Program of Grace Institute is designed to immerse participants in core Christian spiritual practices.
Our main goals are deeper personal spiritual formation and development of skills in leading small groups in spiritual practices.
Since the program does not train people to be spiritual directors, our focus is not on one-to-one listening, but on listening and leading in small groups.
Therefore, the Spiritual Formation Program brings the same people together four times a year for two years. Participants sign up for all eight sessions.
Expected Benefits
- Personal spiritual growth
- Leadership skills in spiritual formation
- Strong communal support for intentional spiritual life
- Strengthen outreach
- Understand spiritual practices in Lutheran and ecumenical perspectives
"I greatly appreciate the Grace Institute and its purpose. Personal and corporate spirituality was evident and grace-filled. Your organization, attention to detail, and hospitality were marvelous. I loved the variety of prayer styles, the body attention, the varied speakers, and the many chances to share and listen to God's people. I do feel my own healing through this gift: time to pray, to listen, to worship, to be free of daily tasks, and then to belong to this body. Thank you! God's blessings to all of you." –Graduate
