Student Staff Position Descriptions

The job responsibilities of student residence life staff members are many and varied. It is a job that requires a strong commitment to serving others, a desire for excellence, and a willingness to give many hours of personal time.

The benefits of being a resident assistant are also many and varied. Student staff will experience personal growth from meeting a variety of challenges. They will participate in training sessions which will improve their ability to lead, counsel, plan, organize, and help others. They will gain valuable skills that will serve them all their lives.

Students may serve the residents and staff at Luther College as hall managers, assistant hall directors, and resident assistants.
