INTEREST INVENTORIES

Often an interest inventory or personality assessment will provide a useful starting point in choosing a major or career path. The Career Center offers the Strong Interest Inventory, the Self-Directed Search, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to assist students in assessing their interests and personality. In addition, a number of tools are used to assess values, motivation, and career readiness. The Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator are now offered on-line in the Career Center. As a result, students may meet with a counselor to receive their interpretation of these instruments shortly after the administration. All of the career assessment instruments are offered free of charge to students.
