Adam Strand

Adam Strand is a 2004 graduate of Luther College and enters his fifth season as head coach of the men and women's tennis program.  He has has coached 12 all-conference singles players, 10 all-conference doubles players, and 3 honorable mention all-conference players. Adam and his wife, Gwen, reside in Decorah with their daughter, Keira Joy (Born April 12, 2013) and dog, Otis.

At Luther

  • Fifth year as head coach
  • Compiled a 36-17 overall record with the men in two seasons.
  • The women have a 34-19 record over his first two seasons.

Coaching Prior to Luther

  • Head coach at Augustana College (Ill.) from January 2006 to May 2011 
  • Career record of 107-66 with the men and 71-58 with the women
  • Named CCIW Co-Coach of the Year for women's tennis in 2010-11
  • Men's team was ranked top 25 in Central Region in 2009-11 with a high ranking of No. 22 in 2011
  • Women's team finished No. 14 in Central Region in 2011

Luther Playing Career

  • 2004 graduate of Luther College and four-year letter winner
  • Named IIAC All-Conference in doubles in 2002
  • Played varsity for entire career on four regionally ranked squads
