Eighty-nine students gathered in Hovde Lounge for pizza and conversation - this fun group included 43 new students and 28 returning participants. Orientation began just outside the SSS office with the “mingle mingle” mixer hosted by SSS Mentor Becca Rudquist ‘14. In fact, nearly all of our current SSS Mentors assisted with each of the rotations. After brief introductions of staff and the SSS program, everyone split into three groups to complete their assessments, talk about goal setting (have you done your S.M.A.R.T. Goals yet?) and receive an overview of SSS services and activities.
First years - what does the Three Musketeers signify? Stop in to SSS, answer this question and receive a treat!
Meanwhile, returning students helped themselves to pizza and salad in Hovde Lounge upstairs. Luckily, we had excellent weather as shown by the photos below (more on the SSS Facebook page). Thanks to everyone who was able to attend and welcome our new SSS participants.
