Tricia Serres Named USTFCCCA Division III Indoor Central Region Track Athlete of the Year

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced that Luther College sophomore Tricia Serres has been named the NCAA III Indoor Central Region Track Athlete of the Year.

Serres, a 2012 graduate of Platteville High School, has been Division III’s best in each of the events she has competed in this year, the 1000 meters, the mile, and 3000 meters. Her 9:35.28 over 3000 meters put her at No. 8 on the all-time Division III indoor performers list. She won the IIAC title in the mile, and anchored the runner-up Distance Medley Relay and 4×800 relays. She will compete both in the mile and the 3000 meters at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships with the fastest times in the nation in both events.

Serres is the daughter of Rob and Heidi Serres of Platteville, Wis.
