Luther and Three Athletes Recognized by ITA on 2014 All-Academic Teams

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced that the Luther College women’s tennis team has been named a 2014 ITA All-Academic Team.

For a team to earn this honor, all eligible student-athletes whose names appear on the NCAA III eligibility roster, must have had a combined grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Norse have earned this award every year since 2002, a total of 13 consecutive years.

Individually, three members of the team were also recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a student-athlete must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade-point-average of at least 3.50 or greater on a 4.0 scale, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.

The five student-athletes who earned this award included juniors Adriana DePaolis and Lola White-Baer and sophomore Hailey Johnson.
