Leslie plans on becoming a registered nurse and returning home to Alaska to work.

At East High School in Anchorage, Leslie was a four-time regional finalist; she reached the state finals in 2008. Last year at Luther, she posted the fourth fastest times in Norse history in both the 1,000 and 1,650 freestyle.

"I chose Luther for the quality of the nursing program and successful swim team. During my visit I found the atmosphere on campus and in Decorah very welcoming and decided that Luther would be a great place to pursue my academic and athletic goals."
