The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) has announced that senior co-captain Sam Kraft has been named the Women's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 19.
Kraft was involved with five first place finishes at the Luther Invitational held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17-18.
Kraft anchored the both the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay that placed first. Individually, she won the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle and set a pool record in the 1650 freestyle (18:07.99). Her time in the 1650 shattered the old mark of 18:47.17 set by Michell Johnson of Augustana-Rock Island, Nov. 16, 2013.
The Norse won the two-day team title posting 898 points. UW-La Crosse was second with 711, followed by St. Ambrose University with 477 and Iowa Lakes Community College with 303.
This is the second time of her career she has been named the IIAC Performer of the Week.
