Luther advanced to the championship game of the Iowa Conference Tournament after defeating the No. 2 seed of the tournament No. 12 Central College 9-3. The Norse exploded for 11 hits and blew the game wide open with a six-run third.

Carli Radil was 2-for-3 that included a solo home run in the second and a two-run blast in the third. Shari Huber and Morgan Franklin also tallied two hits. Huber, Miranda McCay, Kayla Hatting and Kelsey Rose all drove in a run.

Becca Girvan (17-5) allowed three run on eight hits while striking out six batters.

The Norse will face No. 11 and the top seed of the tournament Coe College in the championship game. Coe advanced to the title game with a 4-3 victory over University of Dubuque in the other semifinal game this morning.
