Luther senior outfielder Shari Huber was named to the 2013 NCAA III Softball Championships all-tournament team.
Huber, Luther’s lead off hitter, batted .429 (3-7) with one RBI and one run scored in three games during the tournament. She also walked twice and had an on-base percentage of .600, the highest on-base percentage of any of the 12 players selected to the all-tournament team.
Huber wrapped up her career with her name etched all over the Luther record books. She ranks first all-time for hits (206) and runs scored (167), ranks third for batting average (.398) and doubles (35), fourth for at-bats (517) and sixth for triples (10).
Huber, along with fellow seniors Morgan Franklin and Elisa Smith, have the distinction of being the only Luther softball players to play in four NCAA III Softball Championships.
A 2009 graduate of North Scott High School, Huber is the daughter of Barry and Lisa Huber of Eldridge, Iowa.
