Huber - Girvan Named to Capital One Academic All-District Team

May 3, 2013

The 2013 Capital One Division III Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), has been released to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Capital One became the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA’s Academic All-America teams programs in 2011.

Shari Huber, a 2009 graduate of North Scott High School, and Becca Girvan, a 2010 graduate of Osseo High School, have been named to the Capital One Academic All-District VIII First-Team. This is the second time Huber has been so honored and the first for Girvan.

The Capital One Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2011-12 DIII Academic All-America® teams program.

First-team Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
