Soccer

“Growing up in Decorah, I had always told myself that I would go to school out of town,” says Elly. “After visiting a couple times, I could not resist the friendly atmosphere and sense of community. When I’m at school, I don’t feel like I am in the place where I grew up.”

Elly continues, “In soccer there are moments when you can feel a rhythm between you and your teammates and everything you practice is coming together perfectly. That is what every team strives for.”

But, she explains, it's not always that easy. “When you are in extra time and feel like your legs are going to fall off, teammates give you an extra boost you cannot get anywhere else. One of the greatest feelings is seeing everyone on your team giving there very best for each other.”
