Women's Soccer - Coe College

Luther took a huge step towards making the six-team Iowa Conference tournament this afternoon after defeating Coe 2-0 in Cedar Rapids.

Erin Wilson and Lydia Eager scored for the Norse. Wilson (3) drove in what proved to be the game winner in the 65th minute assisted by Elly Arend (2). Eager (4) scored the insurance goal unassisted in the 88th minute.

Cydney Haaland recorded her fourth shutout of the season turning away four shots on goal.

The victory gives the Norse an Iowa Conference record of 2-4, 7-8-1 overall. Coe falls to 1-5 in league play, 7-9-1 overall.

Luther will wrap up the regular season IIAC schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 23 when it will host Wartburg College at 5:00 p.m. This match will be video streamed.
