Luther wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a 2-1 overtime victory over UW-Platteville tonight in Platteville, Wis.
Trailing 1-0 at the end of the first half, Kate Manning tied the match with her third goal of the season assisted by Maggie Jasper (2) at 46:29. Lydia Eager scored the game winner at 97:58 unassisted, her third goal of the year.
The victory was the third in overtime in four chances and increased Luther's overall record to 6-8-1. UW-Platteville fell to 3-10-0.
The Norse travel to Coe College on Saturday, Oct. 20 for a match that could decided if the Norse will qualify for the six-team Iowa Conference Tournament. The match in Cedar Rapids is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. and will be video streamed by the Coe College Sports Information Department.
